Every Camera Needs a "Car Mode"
This seems obvious to me. Cameras are outclassed very fast and I already have a couple just sitting around my house. The only difference between them and the car camera I want is software. Every camera should have a "Car Mode."In Car Mode a camera can be used as a block box and will take a set number of pictures each second and save them to the memory card. Once the card is full the first pictures are then deleted and the camera keeps recording. This will have the camera recording in a loop and when turned off or stopped it will hold a certain number of previous minutes recordings in memory. When the cameras are installed in a car for driving they will film what the driver sees.
With this on a camera its lifetime and usefulness will be extended. Also people will have incentive to always carry their cameras in their car where they can then detach and make use of them taking pictures of family or whatever.
The next time you go shopping for a camera if it has a car mode. Eventually someone will listen.
