Collect Scrap and Process It
Collecting scrap is a great way to earn pocket money. You just have to do it legally. The basic economics are simple. You buy low and sell high. Typically when you sell stuff at a scrap dealer they pay you a bit less than half what it is worth. Or in some cases much less. Mixed scrap is always paid at the lowest rate. In my area bright clean copper is worth about $5 a kilo however power cord wire is only $1 a kilo. If you are just sitting at home watching TV it is worth a bit to remove the plastic. Here is a video of how to remove the plastic on a power cord:Typically for scrap you get paid for larger amounts. Less than a truckload you get chump change. For 10 tons or more you get a price closer to market value. If you can manage to collect that much you can be sure others will be interested in your commodity.
